Our Ukrainian and Swedish program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in humanities studies. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes interdisciplinary modules from SELCS and SSEES, covering literary works, cinematography, language science, and historical studies.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning as complete beginners or with prior language experience.
