Our degree program in Russian and Portuguese provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes interdisciplinary offerings from SELCS and SSEES, covering literary works, cinematography, language studies, and historical analysis.
The third year involves international study. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning a new language or building upon existing skills.
