This four-year undergraduate program provides comprehensive training in diverse ancient languages along with their historical, cultural, and textual contexts. Participants focus on Hebrew alongside either Greek or Latin throughout the curriculum, while selecting up to three supplementary languages from an extensive selection. The third academic year involves international study in Jerusalem and/or at universities across Europe or North America.
Our curriculum stands unmatched in the United Kingdom. It merges intensive Greco-Roman and Semitic language studies with other ancient Indo-European and Afroasiatic languages, offering students exceptional understanding of pivotal linguistic and textual traditions from antiquity.

Hosted jointly by UCL's Hebrew & Jewish Studies and Greek & Latin departments, students benefit from university-wide resources and expertise spanning archaeology, ancient history, and linguistics.
