This joint degree in Romanian and Swedish provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in humanities studies. Students can select from an extensive array of modules encompassing literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage with language instruction in their selected tongues alongside complementary cultural studies. The program also incorporates interdisciplinary offerings from SELCS and SSEES, covering literary studies, cinematography, language science, and historical analysis.
The third year features an international study period divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency levels, whether beginning as complete beginners or with prior language experience.
