Our Polish and Yiddish degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate thorough, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their language studies. During the first, second, and final years, participants will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary modules from SELCS and SSEES, covering literary works, cinematography, language science, and historical studies.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the chosen languages are prevalent. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning as novices or continuing from prior knowledge.
