Our joint degree in Norwegian and Portuguese provides excellent opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course options spanning literature, linguistic studies, historical contexts, sociological perspectives, philosophical traditions, artistic expressions, cinematic studies, and various cultural aspects tied to their chosen languages. During the first, second, and final years, learners will engage with Norwegian and Portuguese language courses alongside complementary modules in literature, film studies, cultural analysis, or historical examinations.
The third year involves international study, divided between Norwegian- and Portuguese-speaking regions. By the conclusion of this overseas experience, all students are expected to attain equivalent language proficiency, irrespective of whether they began as complete beginners or with prior language knowledge.
