Our German and Yiddish studies program provides extensive opportunities to explore comprehensive, cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, historical contexts, social sciences, philosophical thought, visual arts, cinema, and various cultural aspects connected to the languages they'll master. During the first, second, and final academic years, learners will engage with coursework focused on their selected languages along with associated literary works, cultural studies, historical frameworks, and language structures.
The UCL School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS) is restructuring first-year curriculum components across all bachelor's degree programs for the 2024 intake. Revised program details will be posted in this digital prospectus once finalized.
