Our degree program in Danish and Serbo-Croatian provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, learners will undertake language courses in their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes interdisciplinary modules from SELCS and SSEES, examining literature, film, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning as complete beginners or with prior experience in the language.
