Our Bulgarian and Spanish program provides extensive opportunities to explore comparative and intercultural humanities studies. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic traditions, history, sociology, philosophy, art, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen languages. During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language instruction for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary courses from SELCS and SSEES, covering literature, film studies, linguistics, and historical perspectives.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning as complete beginners or with prior experience in the language.
