Our degree program in Bulgarian and Hebrew provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of courses covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to the languages they'll master. During the first, second, and final years, participants will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes offerings from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) and the School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES), featuring interdisciplinary explorations of literature, film studies, linguistics, and historical contexts.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the chosen languages are native. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning as novices or building upon existing knowledge.
