Our Bulgarian and Hebrew degree program provides extensive opportunities to explore in-depth, comparative, and intercultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse modules covering literature, linguistic traditions, history, sociology, philosophy, art, film, and other cultural aspects tied to their language studies. During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language courses for their selected languages alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may enroll in interdisciplinary modules offered by the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) and the School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES), examining literature, film, linguistics, and history.
The third year is spent abroad, divided between two countries where the chosen languages are spoken. Students attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin as beginners or with prior knowledge of the language.
