The UCL Anthropology BSc integrates evolutionary, environmental, social, and medical anthropology with material culture studies, offering a comprehensive anthropology education.
You'll develop the tools to address contemporary global issues, from poverty and conflict to climate change, racial inequality, and gender disparities. This program examines human existence through evolutionary, environmental, social, and cultural lenses, including our connection to the material world.
You'll acquire diverse skills such as analytical thinking, research synthesis, teamwork, and effective communication. Hands-on learning includes working with artifacts, photographs, and primate specimens from UCL's Ethnography and Biological Anthropology Collections, plus contributing to our student-run publication, the Anthropolitan.
The curriculum draws on the department's pioneering research, covering areas like digital media's cultural impact, sustainability challenges, and social dynamics in NASA space missions.
