This program integrates the knowledge of our faculty and research from two interconnected fields to enhance your understanding and abilities in both Human Geography and Anthropology. Human Geography examines the intricate connections between communities and their environments, addressing critical global issues. Anthropology provides profound insights into cultural and social diversity, uncovering fascinating perspectives on how people and societies experience the world differently. The first year covers foundational concepts in both disciplines, while the second and third years allow you to select from diverse modules, balancing both subjects. Human Geography topics include urban studies, postcolonialism, migration, and environmental justice. Anthropology explores themes like childhood and education, development and conflict, and global health. Both fields emphasize immersive fieldwork, equipping you with valuable skills for future careers. First-year students participate in a geography field trip, with an optional second trip in the following year.
