Our BSc (Hons) Psychology with Integrated Foundation Year program enables you to investigate human behavior, interpersonal dynamics, and the emotional dimensions of social interactions. This four-year degree features a built-in foundation year that strengthens your academic abilities while introducing key psychological concepts you'll expand on in subsequent studies. With access to specialized psychology labs and equipment, you'll conduct hands-on research and analytical work to interpret common experiences and participate in experiments that reinforce your education. In your final year, you'll have the opportunity to design your own dissertation project with faculty guidance, choosing both topic and methodology, and may participate as a research assistant within our Psychology Department.
This BSc (Hons) Psychology with Integrated Foundation Year program meets the requirements for Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society (BPS), establishing the essential first step toward becoming a Chartered Psychologist. The BPS recognizes 10 specialized areas such as Clinical, Educational, and Sport Psychology - all requiring GBR status before beginning professional training. Beyond preparing you for psychology careers, this degree develops valuable insights into human behavior applicable across numerous professional fields.
