You'll cultivate a photographic methodology where the technical artistry of image-making serves as the foundation for an autonomous practice that engages with photography's diverse applications.

Throughout the program, you'll explore essential concepts and discussions shaping current photographic work while fostering a critically aware perspective on both independent and professional endeavors.

While emphasizing photography's creative potential, our program equally values its societal impact as a catalyst for transformation. We invite you to incorporate your unique background and interests while exploring various photographic styles and contexts - from fine art and documentary to editorial and fashion photography.

Our faculty brings extensive practical and research experience across traditional, digital, and emerging media formats. You'll also gain insights from visiting professionals like Markta Luskaov, Tom Wood, Anthony Luvera, and Craig Easton, along with curators and writers. We'll connect you with an extensive network of galleries, museums, and employers across the North West region and beyond, including our ongoing partnership with Liverpool's Open Eye Gallery.

Your photography degree will conclude with participation in the Art and Design degree exhibition, showcasing a cohesive portfolio developed through your final year's independent research project.
