Neuropsychology explores the connection between brain function and cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes. In clinical settings, it focuses on evaluating, understanding, and rehabilitating individuals with brain injuries, disorders, or impairments.

This BPS-accredited program at the University of Bristol, running since 2010, is conducted in collaboration with North Bristol NHS Trust, home to a major neurosciences and trauma center. While most clinicians choose part-time enrollment, full-time study is also an option. Our clinical courses aim to empower practitioners by advancing their expertise in Clinical Neuropsychology, facilitating entry onto the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. Recognized by the BPS Division of Neuropsychology, this diploma fulfills the adult knowledge criteria for advanced clinical neuropsychology training.

Approximately 80% of instruction is led by active clinicians. We emphasize a biopsychosocial scientist-practitioner model, ensuring neuropsychological research directly benefits patient care while grounding clinical practice in rigorous scientific evidence.

The program is primarily online, allowing participation from home or work. While in-person teaching weeks (two annually for part-time students) are recommended, attendance is optional, accommodating professionals with demanding schedules, family commitments, disabilities, or other travel constraints. Lectures are recorded for live or on-demand viewing, and assessments are conducted online.
