The urgency of tackling the climate crisis has reached unprecedented levels. Professionals specializing in climate change are now essential across government agencies, corporations, research institutions, and NGOs to facilitate sustainable transitions in evolving ecosystems.

Our Master's program in Climate Change Science and Policy prepares highly competent graduates with comprehensive knowledge of climate science and a nuanced perspective on climate action frameworks. Tailored for students with scientific backgrounds (either academic or professional), the curriculum offers practical training in climate modeling and data analysis. Alumni gain expertise in climate science methodologies while understanding how scientific evidence informs policy decisions and the limitations of various environmental governance approaches.

Offered by the top-ranked School of Geographical Sciences in the UK for 'Geography and environmental studies' research (THE REF 2021 analysis), you'll collaborate with our research teams examining critical aspects of climate science and environmental policy.

This forward-thinking program additionally helps cultivate professional competencies like public speaking, collaborative projects, team dynamics, and effective communication. A significant focus is placed on conducting independent research projects.

The program maintains strong connections with the prestigious Cabot Institute, which consolidates the University's environmental research, and benefits from Bristol's dynamic setting as a center for environmental initiatives.
