This program offers a comprehensive curriculum that explores various aspects of engineering science and practical applications. It aims to prepare future mechanical engineers to make meaningful contributions to society throughout the 21st century.
Our program integrates essential professional engineering and management competencies across four key focus areas:
design and production
motion and automation
material science
power systems and fluid dynamics
The first two years provide foundational mechanical engineering concepts shared by all students in the program. Instruction occurs through multiple formats including lectures, workshops, lab sessions, design classes, and hands-on projects in modeling and fabrication.
Your third year will focus on applying acquired knowledge in an industrial setting. While direct admission isn't available, transfers from related mechanical engineering programs are possible for students demonstrating strong academic performance and success in industry interviews. Available positions are limited and highly sought after.
During the third year, you'll implement learned principles to solve actual, complex engineering problems. A significant component involves an independent research project demanding original and innovative approaches.
The final year allows specialization through elective courses and includes a major collaborative project tackling an open-ended engineering challenge.
