Electrical and electronic engineering stands as one of the most expansive engineering fields, leveraging advanced technologies to tackle key challenges in today's world. Industries like consumer electronics, renewable energy, transportation, medical technology, and telecommunications increasingly seek qualified graduates.
This program offers the chance to complete your third year in an industrial setting, applying knowledge acquired during the first two years of study. While direct enrollment isn't available, high-achieving students can transfer from the MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering program after their second year, pending academic performance and successful industry interviews. Available spots are limited and highly sought after.
The first two years establish a solid foundation in mathematics, computing, analog and digital electronics, communications, electromagnetics, power electronics, and control systems. Your third year will be dedicated to an industrial placement.
During the fourth and fifth years, you'll select from various optional modules and project topics, allowing specialization in areas ranging from electrical power systems to electronic communications.
Thanks to our strong industry partnerships, graduates enjoy outstanding career opportunities. Prominent employers of recent graduates include Intel, BBC, Dyson, Jaguar Land Rover, Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, EDF Energy, and numerous others.
