Experience the advantages of studying across two campuses, combining urban and rural settings. Our Clifton campus lies in Bristol's dynamic city center, housing pre-clinical facilities including the UK's exclusive School of Anatomy. Additional instruction takes place at Bristol Veterinary School on our rural Langford campus.
The Veterinary School boasts comprehensive facilities such as a dairy farm, Langford Vets' specialized small animal hospital, various animal practices, an on-site abattoir, diagnostic laboratories, and a nearby equine clinic.
Take advantage of our acclaimed on-campus clinical skills laboratory, state-of-the-art research facilities, and guidance from our renowned team of clinical instructors who will help you build practical expertise.
Through collaborations with partner organizations, students gain diverse experience working with multiple species, including opportunities in equine hospitals, charitable institutions, and exotic animal care. The program's accreditations, such as recognition by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), open doors to international career prospects.
During the initial three years, studies focus primarily at Clifton's main campus with some time at Langford's clinical facilities. The fourth and fifth years concentrate on Langford campus, featuring an intensive final clinical year with rotations at partner institutions. Final-year students refine their clinical abilities under seasoned veterinary professionals, including some after-hours training.
