This program is perfect for students eager to explore the application of numerical data in political contexts. It offers hands-on training in practical and analytical abilities, boosting your career opportunities while establishing a solid foundation for advanced academic pursuits. No previous experience with statistical methods is necessary.
Approximately two-thirds of your coursework will mirror the single honors BSc Politics and International Relations curriculum. You'll examine the political systems of specific nations and governments, along with the dynamics between countries, communities, and individuals. You'll gain exposure to diverse perspectives and analytical approaches, learning how to implement and assess them effectively.
The remaining portion of your studies will focus on cross-disciplinary quantitative methods training. During the first year of the quantitative track, we explore how numerical data shapes persuasive narratives in media and social research. We investigate concepts like segregation and examine techniques for its measurement and visualization. In the second year, you'll participate in practical sessions covering social statistics and applied data analysis, enhancing your numerical and analytical capabilities.
