This program examines policies and rights concerning children and youth from infancy through age 19, addressing current discussions in an international framework. Our evidence-based curriculum draws on the knowledge of faculty across multiple fields such as education, psychology, sociology, history, social work, and legal studies.
You'll analyze childhood through the lenses of family dynamics, peer relationships, and societal influences at both domestic and global scales. Coursework covers subjects like children's rights, developmental processes, educational approaches, therapeutic interventions, child protection, juvenile justice systems, and psychological development during childhood and adolescence.
The initial year establishes foundational knowledge about societal, psychological, and historical perspectives on childhood. During subsequent years, students can select from diverse elective modules, including practical work experience opportunities, enabling personalized academic pathways aligned with professional aspirations.
