The Year in Industry program allows students to dedicate their third year to applying knowledge acquired during their initial two years of study within a professional work setting. While direct enrollment isn't available, transfers from other aerospace engineering programs are possible for students who achieve strong academic performance and pass a placement interview.
This four-year curriculum encompasses a wide array of subjects divided into three specialized tracks:
aerodynamics
dynamics and control
structures and materials.
From the first year, these subjects focus specifically on aerospace applications and real-world examples.
Core fundamentals are covered during the initial two years through lectures, supplemented by hands-on learning via coursework and laboratory sessions. Additional specialized topics like space technology and flight operations are explored in dedicated modules.
Students complete their industrial placement during the third academic year.
The program also develops transferable skills across all disciplines, including computing, systems engineering, and design, with significant mathematical components integrated throughout.
While the breadth of subjects presents academic rigor, graduates gain exceptionally comprehensive expertise in the field.
