As a PhD candidate in Medicines Optimization or Pharmacy at the University of Brighton, you'll join our dedicated Medicines Optimization Research and Enterprise Group.
We guide students through both medical and pharmaceutical studies concerning medication delivery, as well as investigations into education and support for proper medication usage.
You'll collaborate with our research team to advance three key objectives for enhancing medication safety and effectiveness:
Medication science: Cutting-edge research employing fundamental scientific methods to expand our knowledge of pharmaceuticals. Specializations include pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, microbiology, drug formulation, clinical bioanalysis, pharmacogenetics, and pharmacogenomics.
Clinical medication application: Pioneering studies exploring human behavior and psychology in health contexts. Research focuses encompass behavioral medicine, health psychology, and pediatric care.
Medication education and support: Developing and evaluating innovative methods to train and assess healthcare professionals in medication optimization practices and research.
