Our Biology PhD program features a diverse community of bioscience researchers specializing in areas like biomaterials and molecular biology.

Students engage in a dynamic research environment that fosters global partnerships and creates meaningful impacts on both local and national ecosystems.

As a member of our team, you'll develop innovative solutions for pressing global health and environmental challenges, with opportunities to join specialized research groups such as the Biomaterials and Drug Delivery Research and Enterprise Group, the Centre for Stress and Age-Related Disease (STRAND), or the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Devices.

You'll collaborate with our researchers as they explore and advance the structure, design, and functionality of both natural and synthetic biomaterials, focusing on their diagnostic and therapeutic applications in biological systems.

Our research spans Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, and Chemistry. While we welcome inquiries across these disciplines, we particularly excel in biomaterials, chemistry, chronic diseases, ecology and conservation, paediatrics, sensory neuroscience, microbiology, biochemistry, regenerative medicine, ageing, diabetes, drug delivery, drug stability, and cancer research.
