This course includes an additional foundation year of integrated study, creating pathways into science for those lacking the necessary qualifications for direct BSc(Hons) entry, career changers, or those resuming education.

The foundation year provides essential support, knowledge, and skills. After successfully completing it, you can advance to the Royal Society of Biology-accredited Biological Sciences BSc(Hons) program.

Focusing on hands-on learning, you'll examine biological systems across molecular, cellular, tissue, and organism levels. Gain practical experience in our specialized labs for ecology, microbiology, molecular biology, and tissue culture.

Fieldwork opportunities enhance your practical abilities, including participation in research projects. Current optional field trip locations feature South Africa and the Mediterranean regions.
