The Finance PhD program supports students in generating and interpreting novel insights, as evidenced in their thesis work. The coursework ensures doctoral candidates grasp the wide array of methods employed in contemporary social science research.
Graduate researchers will develop proficiency in analyzing diverse datasets using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. They'll gain the ability to articulate the theoretical foundations behind various social science research methodologies. Candidates are encouraged to fully engage with the Department of Finance and Business School community by attending departmental and school-wide seminars, which broadens their exposure to ideas beyond their specialization. Active involvement in PhD workshops and conferences hosted by the Department, Business School, Graduate School, and external organizations is also expected.
