When you enroll in a PhD program in International Development, you'll work closely with faculty supervisors to produce groundbreaking research within a dynamic academic setting focused on creating tangible impact, culminating in an 80,000-word dissertation. Your first year includes essential research training modules, with opportunities to participate in additional departmental or university courses that build both specialized and transferable skills.
As a key component of the School of Government—a premier UK and global hub for governance, political science, international development, and public administration—IDD benefits from being part of one of the largest institutions of its kind.
