Our transformative Physical Sciences Foundation Year serves as an integrated preparatory program, opening doors to our prestigious physical sciences undergraduate degrees. Designed for students who lack the qualifications for direct first-year admission, this pathway offers access to bachelor's programs in computer science, mathematics, nuclear science, and physics (excluding theoretical physics or theoretical physics with applied mathematics).
Upon successful completion and meeting progression requirements, you'll seamlessly transition into your selected first-year degree program.
This multidisciplinary foundation year delivers a comprehensive curriculum, establishing fundamental knowledge across science, engineering, and mathematics. Recognizing mathematics as crucial for success in Engineering and Physical Sciences, we prioritize its study during the Foundation Year. The competencies you develop will ensure you begin your first year with the same mathematical proficiency as A-level Mathematics graduates.
