The Earth Sciences PhD program offers opportunities to conduct research spanning diverse areas within the field. Our specialized research teams concentrate on key areas including hydrogeology, paleobiology and paleoenvironments, paleoclimatology, and subsurface characteristics.
We welcome research proposals from students across the spectrum of earth sciences. Our academic teams specialize in several core disciplines: hydrogeology, the study of ancient life and environments, climate history, and underground formations.
The Earth Sciences department maintains an active research environment with comprehensive postgraduate programs, featuring faculty engaged in numerous investigative projects.
Previous and current doctoral candidates have received support from various sources including research councils, petroleum and water industries, EU funding, Nirex, the British Council, and international government sponsors.
