You'll explore molecular, physiological, and pathological mechanisms governing cardiovascular function in both healthy and diseased states.
Cardiovascular disorders, which impact the heart and circulatory system, remain the primary global cause of mortality (World Health Organization). Our initiative seeks to launch emerging scientists into careers focused on deciphering cardiovascular disease mechanisms, ultimately contributing to improved therapeutic approaches.
The curriculum blends instructional and investigative components. Classroom modules cover cardiovascular biology and clinical cardiology fundamentals, establishing a broad knowledge base and introducing research themes for your project. The instructional segment also develops essential research competencies, including scientific communication, literature evaluation, presentation techniques, and core cardiovascular research methodologies.
