Our transformative Physical Sciences Foundation Year serves as an integrated pathway, opening doors to our prestigious physical sciences undergraduate programs. Designed for students who lack the qualifications for direct first-year admission, this program offers an ideal starting point.
Successful completion of the Physical Sciences Foundation Year can pave the way for Bachelor's degrees in computer science, mathematics, nuclear science, and physics (excluding theoretical physics or theoretical physics with applied mathematics).
Upon meeting the program's progression requirements, you'll seamlessly transition into your selected first-year degree course.
This multidisciplinary foundation year delivers a comprehensive curriculum, establishing fundamental knowledge across science, engineering, and mathematics. Recognizing mathematics as crucial for success in Engineering and Physical Sciences, we prioritize its study during the Foundation Year. The competencies you develop will ensure you begin your first year with the same mathematical preparation as A-level Mathematics graduates.
