Our dynamic Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering BEng program merges mechanical, computer, electronic, and electrical engineering to tackle the complexities of creating and implementing smart technologies. You'll develop robust theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience while working alongside international specialists. The University of Birmingham understands that tomorrow's engineers must excel in multidisciplinary environments. Our signature Integrated Design Projects span your first three years, where you'll collaborate with Mechanical and Civil Engineering students to create impactful technological solutions. First-year studies include computer-aided design, engineering methodologies, and human-machine interfaces.

This Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering curriculum provides a firm foundation in core physical and mathematical concepts, coupled with a comprehensive, integrated understanding of electronic, mechanical, and computing technologies and their real-world implementations.

International Baccalaureate Diploma
6,6,5 at Higher Level to include Mathematics with a minimum of 32 points overall.

BTEC
BTEC Extended Diploma will be considered for BEng programmes providing there is sufficient Mathematics content and applicant satisfactorily completes our Mathematics aptitude test.

TOEFL 80 overall with no less than 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 21 in Speaking and 19 in Writing. 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.
