The University of Birmingham's BA in History and History of Art undergraduate program allows you to examine both historical periods and artistic expressions, challenging conventional narratives about our shared heritage. Through this interdisciplinary course, you'll venture into new intellectual landscapes while critically examining historical assumptions and cultural biases.
This joint honors program offers extensive flexibility, featuring diverse core and elective modules spanning medieval to modern periods across global perspectives. A key component involves direct engagement with primary sources - you'll work with original artworks, historical documents, and archival materials. Our campus provides exceptional resources, including Special Collections housing rare texts and over two million manuscripts, plus remarkable art collections.
