Delving into philosophical ideas and frameworks spanning continental and moral philosophy, epistemology, philosophical history, philosophy of science, and core aspects of analytic philosophy. Housed within the School of Divinity, History and Philosophy, our Philosophy research programs are renowned for their work in historical philosophy, scientific philosophy (particularly biological philosophy), ethical and political philosophy history, and fundamental analytic philosophy domains: epistemology, metaphysics, and language philosophy.
Located in the School of Divinity, History, Philosophy and Art History, our Philosophy research initiatives excel in studying philosophical history, Chinese philosophical traditions, scientific philosophy (with emphasis on biological philosophy), ethical and political philosophy history, and essential analytic philosophy fields: epistemology, metaphysics, and language philosophy.

Qualification Requirements
Normally, the minimum entrance requirement for admission to the PhD is an undergraduate degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in an appropriate field, or equivalent. It is preferable that you hold a Masters' degree in the chosen area of study as well.
