This innovative interdisciplinary program merges specialized Criminology courses with modules from Sociology, Psychology, and Law, offering a well-rounded joint honors undergraduate degree in Criminology and Sociology.
Students will explore a wide array of subjects, such as social dynamics, identity formation, societal inequalities, surveillance technologies, facial recognition, biological and forensic psychology, law enforcement, criminal justice, and other relevant themes. Taught by experts in criminology, law, psychology, and sociology, this program fosters a critical understanding of criminal behavior—examining its roots, consequences, and prevention strategies through legal frameworks, policing, and corrections. The multidisciplinary curriculum equips students with diverse knowledge and analytical skills to examine individual behavior, social structures, and the psychological factors influencing crime and instability. Additionally, the program delves into the development and functioning of the justice system, covering law enforcement, incarceration, rehabilitation, and policy-making.
