Gain the expertise needed to protect biodiversity amidst escalating human influence on Earth. Conservation Biology equips you with essential techniques to devise biodiversity preservation strategies in response to growing anthropogenic pressures. The program enhances your foundation in ecology, zoology, botany, soil science, evolutionary biology, and genetics. You'll critically evaluate various conservation methodologies, their rationale, and efficacy while developing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on conservation skills. Through Scottish and global case studies, you'll investigate diverse tactics - from safeguarding endangered species to navigating the complexities of protected and unprotected zones.
As an inherently interdisciplinary field, Conservation Biology prepares you with: comprehensive conservation principles, critical analysis of different conservation arguments, connections to professionals and policy experts, plus quantitative techniques for wildlife and endangered species management.
