Mechatronics combines mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science to create efficient, cost-effective, and dependable systems. This MEng Hons program, developed in collaboration with industry partners, equips students for diverse roles in electronic and mechanical engineering fields. Building on the foundation of the initial four years (three academic years plus one industrial placement), the fifth year offers specialized module options. These let you deepen your expertise in a chosen area or focus on skills that enhance career prospects. Through an integrated curriculum that progressively builds semester by semester, the program shapes versatile engineers ready for various industrial positions. A key component is the mandatory Industrial Placement, where you'll work with an engineering firm either in the UK or internationally. This hands-on experience gives practical context to your academic learning and provides valuable industry exposure that strengthens your graduate employability.
