The MEng Hons in Engineering Management is a five-year program with full CEng accreditation, blending engineering expertise with business acumen. This comprehensive curriculum covers diverse areas including engineering technology, materials science, manufacturing systems, product design, mechanical engineering, and business management principles.

Graduates of this MEng program pursue careers across various industries, spearheading the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, pioneering innovative production methods, and optimizing resource utilization in engineering environments.

Students cultivate analytical thinking, design capabilities, and problem-solving techniques alongside essential professional competencies in communication, collaboration, and project leadership. The program features a mandatory 12-month paid industry placement in the third year, providing hands-on experience with actual engineering challenges and demonstrating practical applications of theoretical knowledge. Completion of this placement earns students the Diploma in Professional Practice (DPP) upon graduation. QCF Pearson Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering with overall award profile D*DD to include a Distinction in Mathematics for Engineering Technicians and a Distinction in Further Mathematics for Engineering Technicians

Irish Leaving Certificate
128 UCAS tariff points to include a minimum of five subjects (four of which must be at higher level) to include English at H6 if studied at Higher level or O4 if studied at Ordinary Level.

Course Specific Subject Requirements
Higher level subjects must include Mathematics and a Science subject.

International Baccalaureate
Overall profile minimum 27 points (13 at higher level) to include minimum grade 6 in HL Maths and grade 5 in another HL subject. Grade 4 in English Language is also required in overall profile.

Access to Higher Education (HE)
MEng entry not available directly from Access course.

GCSE
For full time study, you must satisfy the general entry requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language.

Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English.

Also GCSE Mathematics Grade C/4 (or equivalent). Please note that for purposes of entry to this course the Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Application of Number is NOT regarded as an acceptable alternative to GCSE Maths,
