Sport and Exercise Science has emerged as a leading choice for undergraduate students, offering outstanding professional prospects. The evolution of the sports sector and heightened competitive demands have established scientific methodologies as essential for tracking and enhancing athletic performance. This program equips you to scientifically evaluate sports and exercise performance while cultivating academic and professional competencies for careers in this growing industry. Core scientific disciplines encompass physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and nutrition. The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) accredits this course: Between 2014-2019, 90% of faculty held Fellowships with the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) One instructor received the University's Distinguished Teaching Award Fellowship Eight faculty members contributed to the 2014 Research Excellence Framework submission. For full-time study, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language, Mathematics and one Science subject (or equivalent).
Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English.
