This program is carefully crafted to deliver comprehensive knowledge about architectural technology and building design. You'll gain crucial insights into various technical elements such as materials, structural foundations, climate control systems, illumination, sound management, and legal regulations. The curriculum also prepares graduates with expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) applications and the theoretical framework for BIM methodologies. Current course offerings feature Architectural Graphics, Fundamentals of Architecture, Information Technology, Communication and Surveying, Architectural Technology A, CAD Basics, Building Forms and Structures, Environmental Comfort, Architectural CAD, Building Design, Advanced CAD, Architectural Technology B, Building Physics, BIM, Design Projects, Thesis Work, Building Renovation and Preservation, along with Energy Efficiency and Environmental Studies (please note module offerings may evolve as the program progresses).

Access to Higher Education (HE)
Access Course (120 credit Access Course) (NI Access Course) in a Science, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering subject area with an overall mark of 63% to include 63% in each of the level 3 modules and to include 40% in NICATS level 2 Maths for Year 1 entry.

Applicants who do not have GCSE Maths grade C/4 must also achieve a Pass in NICATS Maths level 2.

GCSE
For full-time study, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language, Mathematics and in either Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Single or Double Award Science.

Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English.

Please note that for purposes of entry to this course the Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Application of Number is NOT regarded as an acceptable alternative to GCSE Maths.
