The Civil Engineering program prepares graduates for careers in both consulting and contracting sectors. It covers key areas including Structural Engineering, Highway Engineering, and Water/Wastewater Systems.
Students will engage with all phases of Civil Engineering projects - from planning and design to construction, operation, and maintenance. This includes water infrastructure projects like reservoirs, pipelines, and treatment plants; transportation systems including roads, railways, bridges, and airports; and structural projects such as high-rise buildings, stadiums, and industrial facilities.
Our state-of-the-art Belfast campus features modern laboratories used for first and second-year modules, with potential use for final year projects.
Program options include a 4-year full-time degree (or 5-year MEng) with an integrated placement year, available in both full-time and part-time formats.
