Mechatronics combines mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science to create efficient, cost-effective, and dependable systems. This BEng Hons program, developed in collaboration with industry partners, equips students for diverse careers in electronic and mechanical engineering fields. Course Specific Subject Requirements

Higher Level subjects must include Mathematics and one from Physics, Chemistry, Physics/Chemistry, Biology, Technology, Engineering or Technology and Design.

International Baccalaureate
Overall profile is a minimum of 25 points to include 12 at Higher Level and to include minimum grade 5 in Mathematics and another Higher Level science subject. Grade 4 in English Language also required in overall profile.

Access to Higher Education (HE)
Overall profile of 63% and 63% in NICATS Mathematics module (Level 2) in an Engineering/Science/Technology (120 credit Access course) (NI Access Course).

Overall profile of 15 credits at Distinction and 30 credits at Merit in an Engineering/Science/Technology (60 credit Access Course) (GB Access Course). GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in Mathematics is also required.

Alternative Mathematics qualifications acceptable to the University will be considered for the Mathematics requirement.

GCSE
For full-time study, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language.

GCSE pass Grade A/7 in Mathematics (or an alternative Mathematics qualification acceptable to the University) if offering GCE A-Level Technology and Design, Design and Technology, Engineering or Electronics otherwise GCSE pass Grade C/4 in Mathematics (or an alternative Mathematics qualification acceptable to the University) is required.

Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English.

IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5., TOEFL iBT - 80 with a minimum L - 17 R - 18 S - 20 W - 17, PTE Academic - 55 (with min. of 51 in each part)
