The Mechatronics and Robotics BEng/MEng program focuses on combining mechanical, electronic, and intelligent control systems to create complete solutions, whether products, machines, or processes. This interdisciplinary field utilizes specialized design principles, methodologies, modeling techniques, toolkits, and engineering approaches that allow mechatronics professionals to develop more efficient, cost-effective, and dependable systems. With a growing demand for their versatile skill set, mechatronics and robotics engineers pursue diverse career opportunities.
The curriculum provides an exceptional combination of core technical subjects and professional competencies, preparing graduates to tackle complex engineering challenges in industrial settings. Throughout the program, students develop essential management capabilities needed to thrive as multidisciplinary engineering professionals.
Students can pursue Mechatronics and Robotics as either a three-year BEng (Hons) degree or a four-year integrated master's program. After completing the third year, eligible students may choose to graduate with a BEng or continue for an additional year to earn an MEng qualification.
Duration: Three years full-time, four years full-time with placement
