As a physiotherapist, you have the power to significantly impact people's physical, social, and psychological well-being. The field of physiotherapy focuses on maximizing individuals' capabilities through health promotion, preventive care, and rehabilitation services. Our School prioritizes creating excellent academic programs while continuously improving the student experience. Student feedback plays a vital role in shaping our educational approach, which is why we actively seek input during important milestones and demonstrate how we implement suggestions through our responsive feedback system. Starting September 2020, qualifying students enrolled in this program will receive an annual £5,000 maintenance grant that doesn't require repayment. More information available here. The curriculum expands on your existing knowledge to foster a sophisticated understanding of modern physiotherapy. You'll acquire the competencies needed to become an independent, thoughtful practitioner capable of treating diverse patient populations in various clinical environments. Foundational physiotherapy techniques encompass hands-on therapy, prescribed exercises, and movement assessment. Effective treatment plans rely on solid clinical judgment and evidence-based problem solving. Our problem-focused learning method incorporates interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare students to develop teamwork skills and understand different professional roles. This program holds approval from the Health and Care Professions Council and accreditation from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Graduates qualify to register with the HCPC and join the CSP.
