Medical imaging plays a crucial role in enabling swift and precise diagnoses in today's healthcare systems. As a radiographer, you'll deliver diagnostic services to diverse patients, guiding their treatment plans. Starting September 2020, all enrolled students in this program who meet eligibility requirements will receive an annual £5,000 maintenance grant that requires no repayment. More information available here. Radiographers utilize cutting-edge technology in dynamic clinical settings where maintaining composure and methodical workflows ensures patient safety. The curriculum expands your foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology to cultivate advanced expertise in modern radiography. You'll develop competencies to become an independent, compassionate healthcare professional. Essential radiography skills encompass radiation administration, medical image interpretation, patient care, and technological proficiency. Our problem-based learning methodology incorporates interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare students to foster teamwork. Clinical placements occur across multiple Northeast locations including Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, Darlington, Bishop Auckland, Sunderland, Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, and both North and South Tyneside.
