Aerospace engineers create, evaluate, and construct various flying vehicles including planes, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. This program is ideal for those fascinated by aviation and space technology who wish to develop diverse engineering expertise. The curriculum enhances your comprehension of aerospace engineering topics such as design principles, fluid dynamics, mechanical systems, flight controls, structural engineering, material science, propulsion methods, flight mechanics, and aircraft efficiency. Instruction occurs at Middlesbrough University campus, with additional access to comprehensive aerospace facilities at Hartlepool College of Further Education. These resources feature an aircraft hangar containing both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, propulsion systems, and aerodynamic testing equipment. Transportation between the university and college is available at no cost when required.

Qualification Requirements

112-128 UCAS points from any combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications. Examples include A-level, BTEC, Access to HE Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, T-Level, or the International Baccalaureate.

You may be able to join onto year two or three if youve studied a HNC or HND. If you dont have a qualification but have gained relevant credits at Level 4 in a related subject, then credit transfer may be possible.
