Typically centered on transforming existing structures, interior designers assess client requirements and the building's intended purpose, develop spatial arrangements, and enhance flow and functionality. As an interior design professional, you'll choose materials, design fixtures and furnishings, and select color schemes and lighting arrangements.
You'll concentrate on current and evolving design movements such as wellness, sustainability, and eco-conscious approaches while addressing important social and ethical considerations in modern design. The program teaches you to understand interior spaces in relation to human needs and societal contexts, while involving you in real-world projects and national contests that mirror industry standards - equipping you to become an innovative design expert capable of serving diverse clients.
