Aerospace engineers create, evaluate, and construct various flying vehicles including airplanes, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. This program is ideal for those fascinated by aviation and space technology who wish to pursue a diverse engineering career.
You'll expand your expertise in aerospace engineering disciplines such as design, fluid dynamics, mechanical systems, flight controls, structural engineering, materials science, propulsion systems, flight mechanics, and aircraft performance. While most instruction occurs at the University's Middlesbrough location, students can utilize comprehensive aerospace facilities at Hartlepool College of Further Education. These resources feature an aircraft hangar with both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, various engines, and a wind tunnel. Transportation between the University and college is available at no cost when needed.
