The MPhil/PhD program in our School of Social Sciences provides students with the chance to work alongside globally renowned scholars while investigating health-related topics.
This program applies historical, literary, and artistic approaches to examine health and medical care. A key specialization lies in disability studies, including ongoing research documenting thalidomide survivors' experiences through oral histories. Scholars investigate diverse subjects within these disciplines, from childbirth narratives to portrayals of disability in Welsh postwar literature.
